Orthodoxy

Orthodoxy means good glory (= righteousness), that is, good faith in God. It is the faith that is preserved intact within the life of the ecclesiastical community from the time of the Apostles to the present day. Good faith is inextricably linked to good practice (orthopraxia), to the Orthodox ethic, which is an ecclesiastical, loving, and ascetic ethic. But the word Orthodoxy also means good doxology, that is, a proper worship of the Triune God. In the worship life of our Church the whole Mystery of salvation and the path to the Kingdom of God is experienced.

Biosophy

In addition to the "critical" philosophy of impersonal certainty which, in the face of the common problems of life, observes a strict "era", so as not to overstep its limits, there exists (as an obligation of the wise, and as a demand of the great public who expects from him to be enlightened) and the "practical" the "didactic" philosophy — that which comes to help man in the hour of great need with the "truths" he has treasured from a personal life experience. Such moments (of embarrassment, depression, fear, despair, etc.) neither the one who offers them, nor the other who receives them examines whether these "truths" as logical propositions are based on indisputable proofs. Simply the first gives them and the other takes them for what they are: as subjective certainties that may be useful to those who are in danger (if left unchecked) of not knowing the real face of life and falling prey to their fantasies. When a person is drowning in the sea, we from our perhaps weak raft will throw him the rope we are holding - the only one we have, even if its solidity is not completely guaranteed... We will try to save him somehow... .This is what "practice" or "teaching philosophy" does, or rather: tries to do. And if it is denied the right to be called "philosophy," it will not persist in claiming the disputed title. He will exchange it for another that comes from a much more ancient nobility—it will be called Biosophy (Βιοσοφία).

Ancient Greek Philosophy

Ancient Greek philosophy arose in the 6th century BC. Philosophy was used to make sense of the world using reason. It dealt with a wide variety of subjects, including astronomy, epistemology, mathematics, political philosophy, ethics, metaphysics, ontology, logic, biology, rhetoric and aesthetics.
